Hunter Cove Park Alma Nebraska

Hunter Cove Park in Nebraska is a COE (army corp of engineers) Park. We choose COE parks for two reasons, the first is the price and the second is the beauty.

COE parks are reasonably priced, generally under thirty dollars. We have a senior pass (this is a national park pass for people over 62) which gives us fifty percent off the normal park price.  Most COE parks offer electric, some offer water, and a few offer full hookups.  A great deal for the price.

The second reason we choose COE parks is the beauty of the parks.  They are on or near a large body of water and therefore offer spectacular views and large campsites.  The corp takes special pride in the mainteneace of the parks and the landscape and bathrooms are clean.

Hunter Cove in Nebraska did not let us down.  The price for this pull through site with electric was $10.00, the site was large, and the entire campground was freshly mowed.

Hunter Cove offers 185 campsites and we were the only camper beside the host in the campground.  It was Monday and September so that is probably the reason the camp was empty. With all this camp has to offer we are sure they are full on the weekends.

It was around 4PM when we arrived to the campground and it was raining and it rained and was overcast the entire time we were there.  We took a stroll through the park but that is the only activity we did the day we were at the campground. It would have been a great park to kayak and ride our bikes, but maybe next time.

As you can see the park is nicely maintained, has great roads and level sites.  No water front sites for RV's  (only tent campers at waterfront sites) but it does have easy access to the lake.

We had a great overnight visit to Hunter Cove Park in Nebraska.

We hope you enjoyed us sharing our day with you.
